Scott Mayhew was under his SUV working on it when he reached for a tool and the vehicle came down on him. He painfully cried for help and prayed that he would be saved in time.
Meanwhile, his wife Nicole Mayhew, was at work when she was overcome with a feeling to leave her job and go home to check on her husband. When this mother of 3 arrived, she heard her husband crying out for help. She ran next door to get the help of a neighbor. They both lifted the SUV and saved her husband’s life.
One of the paramedic’s said that Scott is lucky to be alive and that if Nicole had not made it home when she did then he would be dead.
This is a perfect example of a woman following her intuition instead of holding back and doubting herself. She “knew” something was wrong even though she could not see what that something was. She was brave enough to follow where her intuition led her, to the relief of her husband who was being crushed under their vehicle. I’m sure their children are thankful as well.
So, has something like this ever happened to you? Did you ignore it or act on it? Would you leave work if you had a feeling one of your loved ones were in danger? How important is your intuition in your day-to-day dealings?
